1988 Laser Sailboat Full (Pro-Rigged)

Location:
Seattle, WA

I have two Laser sailboats boats at the moment - one more than I really need. I purchased the second boat thinking my teenage son would be able to sail with me regularly. However, he elected to pursue crew (rowing) versus sailing and his opportunities to sail are seldom enough to warrant the second boat.
The boat is a 1988 model and in pretty good shape. It has dings and wear as one would expect. I have pressurized the hull (the soap bubble test) and not identified any leaks. The times we have sailed it, the hull stayed dry.
The boat has many nice pro-rig upgrades which is very difficult to find on older boats. It is pro-rigged with the 15:1 Harken Vang upgrade. Additional blocks for the cunningham and outhaul to get additional purchase. It also has upgraded deck cleats for the outhaul and cunningham control lines. All these nice upgrades make sailing that much easier for the novice, yet capable for those interested in racing.
The boat comes with two sails. One is newer and still crisp (it has always been rolled), but I just recently noticed a small hole on the mast sleeve about five feet up. Duct tape may be the simplest way to address, but I want to leave it for now so the buyer can see. The other is older and folded, but fully functional. Lines are all in excellent condition.
The price for the boat is $975 and includes an aluminum dolly. The portable dolly was built by a prior owner. It is not fancy, but works fine. It is a nice boat and represents a (very) low cost way to get a pro-rigged ready-to-race Laser. Cash only. Contact Glenn at 425-502-1203 or gwisegarver@gmail.com
